The Sunrise English Medium School, has a student population of about 200 students from kindergarten to the sixth grade, with eight teachers. Sunrise English Medium school’s mission is to teach and equip children to be proficent in the English language as to prepare them into the mainstream of the academic, technical, and cultural fields which might help individuals to adapt to an ever changing global environment. The local language is Telugu, and an absence of the English language would dampen the development of these children in a fast pace global economy and be a deterrance in their career fields.
The project will provide scholarships to orphan children and the extremely lowest income students. It will also enable the school to buy teaching materials and computers for the classrooms; enhance the school library and provide materials for developing the skills of the teachers.
