HE Space Children's Foundation is working together with Dutch organisation Stichting Betuwe Wereldwijd/Tools4change (BWW/T4C). This organization has a long history of repairing machines and tools and sending them to developing countries wherever a specific need is identified. In doing so more young people will have access to quality tools and machines and therefore get a better education, which gives them better opportunities for the future and enable them to earn their own income and to be economic independent.
St. Martin de Porres is a school and rehabilitation center for children with disabilities, children and young adults with Hearing Impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism and other Learning Disabilitie. It is the only center that provides these services in all of western Kenya, and because of this, students come from Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda.
During the past year, St. Martin de Porres has served 150 students and has continued to excel in its holistic programming. The school provides primary & secondary education, vocational training in cooking & tailoring, and boarding & caring for students.
Update: The delivery of the materials!
We are very happy to announce that our tools and machines have arrived safe in Kenya! Thanks to the contribution of the HE Space Children’s Foundation this project at the St. Martin de Porres School in Kenya could be realized. The equipment has arrived in good condition. The tools and machines are of a much better quality than what can be bought in Kenya. With all these tools even more young people can successfully complete their training.
