Our continued support needed in India
The HE Space Children's Foundation is sponsoring Food For Life Vrindavan (FFLV). From our project coordinator, we received the following news: "The situation in India remains extremely challenging. We have started with a new project in the villages where small groups of girls come together and get some basic teaching from older students of FFLV. All within the COVID-19 restrictions. We are hopeful that by the end of this month our grades 9 to 12 can come to school for a few hours a day. This group is so vulnerable as due to extreme financial challenges more girls are forced into child marriage. This way we can keep a closer eye on their well-being. We are still dedicated to provide all families of our students and elderly of our community with food rations. A food ration costs $25 and keeps a family going for about a month. We have distributed over $6500 food rations so far. It's a huge challenge to raise the money in these times as the whole world is dealing with financial challenges. But we won't give up!"
We would like to share a short video with you showing the distribution of some schoolbooks, sponsored by the foundation.
The HESCF will support the FFVL with winter clothes for the girls as this is sometimes the only new set of clothes they get.
