2015 kicked off with a lot of new projects
The first quarter of 2015 started with already 6 new projects for the HE Space Children's Foundation. Currently we still have a couple of projects under review. Our projects cover a wide range of activities all intended to bring change to the lives of orphans and other underprivileged children by providing access to and the resources for high quality education.
ZIMCast is a project which will enable students getting practical experience with satellite data. By setting up a EUMETCast receiving station within the university and to teach the university staff to operate and maintain the station the students will have real data to use in their courses.
We support Education Plus Nicaragua, located in one of the poorest areas of Nicaragua, in order to provide meals to children ages 2 – 5 years. This will allow the organization to accept more students into the educational program (they already have the space, volunteers, and teachers, just not the funding to feed additional students).
We also support the Ashwasa Bhavan Foundling Home in Kerala India. This allows 62 children who are currently hosted by the Sorelle della Consolata Community, to receive the most qualified education as well as the necessary medical care and clothing/material.
Fair Fight is a project in Zimbabwe where girls are trained to become more empowered by teaching them martial arts. These projects can be seen as a lasting investment considering the physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of the children.
The “Ayudame” Project gives an opportunity to orphans and children of single parents to get educated instead of getting involved in the street life. The HE Space Children's Foundation will support the renovation of the building and the planting of a trees to provide a green area for the children to play and relax.
In Surinam children need to wear a uniform and shoes to go to school. The HE Space Children's Foundation will provide these as well as computers to the Orphanage Samuel in Surinam.
